What’s a Makeover for Mommy?

A Mommy Makeover is a blend of procedures for cosmetic surgery to rejuvenate the body of a woman following pregnancy, childbearing and breastfeeding. Her Mommy Makeover can include a breast lift and/or breast implants, a tummy tuck, liposuction, and even an eyelid lift or facelift, depending on a woman’s needs.

Flaccid breasts or loss of breast volume, and stretch marks and/or loose skin over the abdomen are the most common complaints among women who have had children. And women who have never dreamed about plastic surgery have Mommy Makeovers nowadays.

Rachel, 34, a mother of two, says, “I never used to understand why anyone would spend money on plastic surgery,” But I was wondering again when a friend who had a tummy tuck and a breast lift came over one day and I saw the results!

Rachel recalls, “I wanted to get something done for my saggy stomach,” Then, after breastfeeding, she thought about the unevenness of her breasts and said to herself, “If I’m going to get a tummy tuck, I may as well get my breasts done, too.”

“Rachel had surgery for a tummy tuck and breast implant, and is pleased with the outcomes. “I was a B cup in one breast and a C cup in the other,” she says. “Now I’m a D business. And it is crazy how flat my tummy is! “

For a Mommy Makeover, when is the right time?

Some women tend to undergo multiple procedures at the same time. Others choose to have different procedures eight to 12 weeks apart. Before getting cosmetic surgery, it is best to wait at least six months after giving birth. Nursing moms can wait six months after weaning their infant.
