Welcome to Spirit2Spirit Parenting. We're grateful you stopped by.

Recently, one of my clients was struggling with an uncooperative, strong-willed toddler. We discussed how to move from nagging and screaming to simply letting the child know what they, as parents, were going to do.

When they began saying things like "I'll be happy to fix you a snack once your toys are picked up" and "I'd love to go to the library with you as soon as you've finished lunch" and walking away - letting the child make the choice - their home became much calmer and quieter. As a bonus their toddler is doing more thinking about their circumstances than the parents are!

Aricia LaFrance's work with families has been featured in USA Today, Family Circle and Mothering magazine. She holds her Master's Degree in Educational Psychology and has experience as a psychotherapist and certified addictions counselor. She's also an expert life coach and parenting consultant with nearly 25 years of experience helping families with issues ranging from toddlers who are picky eaters and biters to defiant teens and beyond.
